I am a certified Raw Food Chef, Raw Food Nutrition Specialist, Raw Food Coach and a Raw personal trainer. I do not limit my consulting to a raw food only diet/lifestyle. I am training in and believe in an Ayurvedic (seasonal) approach, in that every person has individual needs and concerns and there is not a one size fits all solution to diet and lifestyle. Each of us is growing and blossoming at different rates, the stem is not more important than the bud or the flower, enjoy your growth whether you are a sprout, bud or blossom. I am here to help you identify your level, what you want next and then to help you achieve your goals.
I call my approach EcoDiet because I believe that a local, in season, high fruit and vegetable diet saves our planet and our health. I'm not against eating animals and if you go paleo and/or make your meat consumption ethical and local as much as possible thats even better. I believe that 10-30% clean animal protein is healthy and fine (if we were hunter gathers we wouldn't always catch our prey and when we did we would share it with the whole tribe.
I never run across people that have a problem with eating and enjoying meat, what i do find is that people don't eat enough fruits and veggies, For these reasons I am a big fan of joyfulbelly.com, vegweb.com and goneraw.com
They have a large community of veggie heads who are doing great at making the usual stuff that we grew up on with a veggie twist.
An EcoDiet consultaion with me starts with a phone interview to determine your current doshic imbalance, your strengths, weaknesses and needs. I then retreat to my office to compile the information to provide you with suggestions for the current seasons diet, including recipes, herbal and vitamin supplements as well as an Ayurvedic routine. I then email you all the information.
If additional support is desired I can come to your home and help you with your kitchen, shopping and meal preparation.
My rate for Nutrition and lifestyle education is $65 an hour plus the costs of supplies that you might need.
My goal is to make eating fruits and veggies fun and delicious!
